Lately, I’ve noticed marshmallows being used in the creation of all sorts of edible goodies, and I’m completely blown away by the versatility of such an inexpensive grocery store find.
I mean, whoever thought of placing a marshmallow on a stick and breathing life into it with a few simple decorating tricks?
Ingenious!
Not only are they the epitome of cuteness, but so easy to make, even the kids can get in on the action.
I’m talkin’ super easy!
To create these cupcake-esque marshmallow pops, you will need the following items:
- Large strawberry-flavored marshmallows
- Dark chocolate candy melts
- Lollipop sticks
- Nonpareils-sprinkles
- Red candies (Red Hots, M&M’s, etc.)
- Styrofoam rectangle
- Ribbon (optional)
Insert lollipop sticks into marshmallow centers and set aside (I enlisted the help of my daughter for this particular step).
Melt chocolate pieces in double boiler, stirring frequently. Dip marshmallow tips in chocolate sauce. Repeat if necessary for even coverage.
Immediately sprinkle pops with nonpareils and top with a single red candy. Use foam base to keep them upright while drying.
Tying ribbon around each stick is entirely optional. However, those dainty little bows add an undeniable touch of pizazz to an already appealing treat.

For around ten dollars, you’ve got enough marshmallow cuties to satisfy several sweet-toothed snackers!
